Bright Byte Media Learning is an education-driven initiative committed to news and media literacy for children, teens, and young adults. We combine the power of journalism, legal expertise, and digital communication to shape informed citizens who can navigate today’s information landscape confidently and ethically.

We believe that media literacy must start young, especially as platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram have become major sources of news for young people.

Through workshops, school programs, and digital content, we help learners become critical thinkers, ethical creators, and responsible digital citizens.

At Bright Byte Media Learning, we recognize that social platforms are now the frontlines of information flow. That’s why our focus is on building early, strong media literacy skills.

Nigeria is aiming for 95% digital literacy by 2030, but currently, over 50% of the population lacks basic digital skills. This staggering gap makes early media literacy education not just important, but urgent. At Bright Byte Media Learning, we recognize this national challenge and are stepping in to help close the divide, starting with children and young people.

A June 2024 report by Internet Matters states that “informed citizens who are able to make reasoned decisions and participate meaningfully in democratic processes” are essential to democracy. But this is threatened by misinformation online.
